Root Canal Treatment in Turkey
Root canals are treated by removing and cleaning the infected pulp tissue. In simple terms to everyone, the procedure consists in removing the root and root of the tooth and filling the canals of the tooth with a dental substance.
The procedure can be done in two ways:
Making the Procedure in One Visit to the Dentist
In this option, the doctor does all the treatment in one visit. The disadvantage of this method is the time of the treatment. Since only the filling of the canals usually takes two hours. If we add root removal to this, then the procedure can take up to three hours. For many people, it is really difficult to sit for three hours with your mouth open.
When removing the root of the tooth and treating the canals in one visit to the dentist, the doctor will definitely use local anaesthesia. This is necessary because the doctor works directly with living roots. However, it may be ideal for people who have limited time in Turkey.
Making the Procedure in Two Visits to the Dentist
In this option, the dentist treats the root on the first visit, and on the second visit, he is already filling the canals of the tooth. To treat the root of the tooth, the doctor can use special drugs that are placed into the canals of the tooth and gradually kill the root.
During treatment, the doctor will offer you anaesthesia, however, if you do not have much fear of procedures, then anaesthesia can be omitted. All the doctor has to do at the first visit is to drill through the tooth with a drill to get to the root of the tooth. Next, the dentist must put medicine into the canals of the tooth, and close the tooth with a temporary filling.
And after the second visit, the patient should not feel pain at all, since the tooth will no longer be alive. However, keep in mind that there may be some pain in the treatment area after the first visit. Therefore, doctors can often prescribe painkillers.
How does Root Canal Treatment Perform?
As with any dental procedure, root therapy has its own treatment protocols, which TurDent clinic doctors must adhere to.
Examination of the Oral Cavity
No doctor will make root treatment without a pre-examination of the oral cavity. A tooth in which the canal or root is inflamed will ache while chewing or tapping. This is a way to know about the problem not only for the doctor, but also for the patient. The doctor also prescribes X-Rays and CT scans.
The reason for the problem with dental pulp is primarily poor oral hygiene and ignoring the appearance of caries on the teeth. The longer a person ignores the need for dental treatment, the more problems arise later.
Root Canal Therapy
After using anaesthesia, the doctor begins the treatment. First, he uses a dental drill to grind off part of the enamel so that he can work with the root of the tooth and with the canal of the tooth. After that, the dentist cleans the pulp of the tooth, deposits medicines, or flushes the canals with medicines.
In order to fill the canals after that, they need to be expanded with the help of special dental drills. After that, the doctor lays the filling material into the canals of the tooth and uses the filling to finish the whole treatment.
The Final Stage of the Treatment
After the main stage of the procedure is completed, the doctor prescribes additional X-Rays. This is necessary in order to make sure that all the canals are treated correctly, and that there is no more inflammation left in the pulp of the tooth.
Doctors of the TurDent dental clinic in Turkey always do their best to keep the tooth in a person’s mouth. Even if for this they need to remove a root or treat the canals of a tooth, modern medicine does everything not to remove teeth to the last.
